The “Sabah” Basketball Club was founded on September 1, 2022, in Baku. The club’s main mission is to increase interest in the sport of basketball in our country and to represent Azerbaijan successfully in international arenas. Since its inception, the club has been participating in the Azerbaijan Basketball League and, in its first season, became the champion, earning the right to represent our country in the qualification stage of the “FIBA European Cup” for the first time in 18 years. Winning all the games in the qualification stage, “Sabah” earned the right to participate in the regular season of the competition.

In the 2023/2024 season, “Sabah” BK once again became the champion of the Azerbaijan Basketball League and represented our country for the first time in the FIBA Basketball Champions League, making history in Azerbaijani basketball. “Sabah” Basketball Club plays its home games at the Baku Sports Palace.
